Students at a Texas A&M university found a dead cockroach in their lab and gave it a befitting funeral.

The cockroach, named “Rosie,” was left unattended in the anthropology building for two weeks.

Cigarettes, flowers, stones, notes and coins were all placed next to her corpse in the following days.

A poster reading “never forget” was also added, while a Post-It note said, “You were always there to say hello to me in the morning, Rosie! We will miss you.”

Rosie was cremated on a funeral pyre in grand style.
