Former Volkswagen Chief to Resign as Head of Holding Company

Former Volkswagen chief Martin Winterkorn, is set to resign as chief executive of the company that holds a majority of Volkswagen shares, the holding company said on Saturday.

Mr. Winterkorn continued to hold the title of chief executive of Porsche Automobil Holding SE, Even after quitting as chief executive of the carmakeron Sept. 23.

His resignation will take effect at the end of October, Porsche SE said.
Winterkorn will be replaced by Hans Dieter Pötsch as chief executive of the holding company, Porsche SE said.
