The Premium Times online newspaper editor, Ibanga Isine, was arrested and detained for several hours yesterday October 6th by operatives of the State Security Service SSS during the trial of alleged mastermind of the 2010 independence day bombing, Charles Okah.

Ibanga’s phones and other electronic devices were confiscated, making it impossible for him to reach his office to inform them of his arrest.
He was held at the SSS headquarters for several hours before he was moved to the service’s office at Asokoro in Abuja. He was subsequently released after he was able to make contact with his office yesterday night.

No reason was given for his arrest.
