Nigeria’s oldest secondary school student dies at 94

Nigeria’s oldest secondary school student, Mohammud Modibbo died yesterday September 10th at the age of 94.

Mohammud who is until his death a JSS 2 student of School for Arabic Studies (SAS), was unable to go to school as a child because he worked as a trader and then decided to enter primary school in his mid-80s.

Speaking about Mohammud, his teacher Abdulkarim Ibrahim, said he was a jolly good fellow.

    “During classes, he was very attentive and asked questions when he didn’t understand, either asking the teacher or a student sitting beside him,”.

The teacher however said the late Mohammud had dreamt of going to a University.
